HTC has launched the enterprise edition of its virtual reality (VR) headset, HTC Vive today in India. The Vive Business Edition, nicknamed Vive BE, costs Rs 126,990, and is available starting today on Amazon India, and imol.in e-commerce portals.
Vive BE allows businesses to order Vive VR systems with additional services, which are suited for the commercial environments. In addition to the complete Vive VR system, the Vive BE comes with commercial licensing, and a 12-month limited warranty.
Included in the Vive BE is Deluxe Audio Strap for comfort padding, integrated on-ear headphones, and a 5-meter extension kit that takes the total length to 10 meters making the system flexible to use. It also includes interchangeable face cushions for better hygiene. At the given price, enterprises will get two controllers, two base stations, a 3-in-1 cable, and four face cushions.
Businesses will further be able to buy multiple Vive BE systems with the option of bulk orders as well. The business-centric edition builds on the company’s existing network of commercial partners, which cover automotive, medical, and design sectors.
HTC President, South Asia, Faisal Siddiqui, said, “As a part of our Vive focus in 2018 we plan to expedite the growth of our partner through the application of Vive technology across key areas like gaming, entertainment, automotive, engineering and medical amongst others.”
In January, HTC announced the Vive Pro edition. The Pro version brings a number of upgrades in terms of features. The Vive Pro is aimed at those looking at an enhanced display, and audio for their VR experiences. The upgraded model includes dual-OLED displays, redesigned face cushion, latest StremVR tracking system, and 110 degrees field-of-view, and hi-res audio support.
