Huawei Ascend Y320, Ascend Y511, Ascend G610 and Ascend G700 launched in India, prices start at Rs 6,499

After launching the Ascend P6 in October last year, Huawei has launched four new Android smartphones in India called the Ascend G700, Ascend G610, Ascend Y511 and Ascend Y320. These mid-range devices are available on e-commerce sites in the country with prices starting from Rs 6,499 onwards.

Starting with the Ascend Y320, it sports a 4-inch WVGA (800×480 pixels) display and is powered by a 1.3GHz Cortex A7 dual-core processor paired with 512MB of RAM. Other features include 2-megapixel rear camera, VGA front camera, 4GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 32GB using a microSD card and a 1,350mAh battery, which the company claims is good enough for 4 hours of talk time and 300 hours on standby mode.

Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, 3G support, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 3.0 and on the software front, it runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. It is priced at Rs 6,499 and will compete against the likes of Micromax Canvas Fun A63 and Lenovo A369i among others.

The Ascend Y511 too sports similar specifications with the exception of a 4.5-inch FWVGA (854×480 pixels) display, 3-megapixel rear camera, Bluetooth 4.0 and a 1,730mAh battery, which the company claims is good enough for 300 minutes of talktime and 300 hours on standby mode. It is priced at Rs 7,499 and will compete against the likes of Xolo A700 and the Lava Iris 458q among others.

The Ascend G610 features a 5-inch QHD (960×540 pixels) display and is powered by a 1.2GHz Cortex A7 quad-core processor paired with 1GB of RAM. It also includes 5-megapixel rear camera, VGA front camera, 4GB of internal storage that can be expanded to up to 32GB using a microSD card and a 2,150mAh battery.

Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, 3G support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and on the software front, it runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. It is priced at Rs 12,999 and will compete against the likes of Intex Aqua i5 and the Karbonn Titanium S5 among others.

The Ascend G700, on the other hand, features a 5-inch (1280×720 pixels) display and is powered by 1.2GHz quad-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM. Other features include 8-megapixel rear camera, 1.3-megapixel front camera, 8GB of internal storage that can be expanded to up to 32GB using a microSD card and a 2,150mAh battery.

Connectivity options are similar to the Ascend G610 and the device is priced at Rs 17,999. In terms of competition, it will be up against the likes of Intex Aqua i7, but loses out to others in this range as most sport 1080p displays.
