Huawei is rumored to launch the Mate 20 Pro smartphone sometime in October. Being a flagship from Huawei, there is no doubt that the smartphone will be featuring top-of-the-line hardware in pretty much every department. However now a new report suggests that the smartphone’s battery performance will be one of its key highlights.
According to a Huawei press release, shared by Pocket-lint, the upcoming Huawei Mate 20 Pro will feature a battery bigger than its predecessors, which include the P20 Pro and the Mate 10 Pro. It is important to note that both these smartphones come with a 4,000mAh battery, meaning the Mate 20 Pro can be expected with something even bigger.
While the press release doesn’t really reveal the upcoming Huawei device to be the Mate 20, the lineup mentioned alongside of it clearly hints at the device. The Mate 10 was launched last year in October, so there is also a good chance that Huawei will stick to that timeline with the Mate 20 as well.
Besides battery, previous rumors have suggested the Mate 20 Pro to come powered with a Kirin 980 SoC, which is also expected to feature Huawei’s GPU Turbo technology. Like the P20 Pro, the smartphone has also been touted to flaunt a 42-megapixel triple-camera setup at the back. Additionally, the big battery on the Mate 20 is said to feature 40W fast charging as well. A screen size hasn’t been revealed yet, but it is highly likely that the smartphone will come equipped with an OLED screen and an in-display fingerprint sensor.
