Huawei recently unveiled the Honor V10 smartphone in China, along with its iPhone X’s Face ID-like feature. But looks like Huawei isn’t done yet, and a new smartphone could be in tow. The smartphone in question is the Huawei Nova 2s, and its alleged photos and specifications have surfaced online.
According to a Weibo post, the photos are said to be of the Huawei Nova 2s. Recently, a Huawei smartphone with the moniker Nova 3 had been showing up on leaks. The leaks are quite similar, and this could only be a change in the name of the smartphone. The Huawei Nova 2s has a large display with thin edges on each side. The bottom bezel of the smartphone houses the home button. On top, there are two camera lens visible.
Coming to the rear design of the Huawei Nova 2s, it appears to be wrapped in a glass. Here too, the smartphone sports a dual-camera setup with an LED flash. The specifications list shows that the Huawei Nova 2s sports two 20-megapixel sensors up front. At the rear, it has a dual-camera setup with a combination of 20-megapixel and 16-megapixel sensors.
More details leaked include a 6-inch FHD+ display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone is powered by in-house Kirin 960 SoC paired with 6GB of RAM. On the software front, the Huawei Nova 2s runs on Android 8.0 Oreo with EMUI 8.0. Although the design is similar to that of the rumored Huawei Nova 3, the specifications are slightly different.
The Huawei Nova 3 has been rumored to feature a 5.93-inch FHD+ display with an 18:9 aspect ratio, 3,340mAh battery, and Kirin 670 SoC. The smartphone is said to launch in two variants of 3GB RAM plus 32GB storage, and 4GB RAM plus 64GB storage. The Huawei Nova 3 too is rumored to sport a 16-megapixel plus 20-megapixel dual cameras at the rear, and a combination of 20-megapixel plus 2-megapixel setup up front. If both the smartphones are the same, or represent different variants, then a December launch is expected.
