Yesterday it was reported that Huawei is planning to launch its new Nova series of smartphones in India by the end of July. The series is said to carry the Nova 3 and Nova 3i smartphones, which are touted to come with a notch display and four cameras. While the Nova 3 was officially unveiled yesterday in China with its specifications, details on Nova 3i were nowhere to be found. But now a new image has surfaced online giving us some insight on the smartphone’s features.

The image was spotted on Weibo and it reveals the Nova 3i to be the lower-end variant of the two devices. It looks like the smartphone will be featuring the new Kirin 710 SoC, which is said to be the new entrant in HiSilicon’s line of chipsets. The device is also touted to come in two variants, which will carry 4GB RAM with 64GB storage and 6GB RAM with 128GB storage.

The Nova 3i will also come with four cameras, but Huawei seems to have made some cutbacks here as well. The dual camera setup on the Nova 3i comes with 16-megapixel sensor tagged alongside a 2-megapixel sensor. The same setup on the Nova 3 comes with a 24-megapixel camera, paired with a 16-megapixel camera. At the front, however, both smartphones feature a 24-megapixel primary sensor, working alongside a 2-megapixel sensor.

Nova 3i is also touted to come with a smaller 3,340mAh battery compared to the 3,750mAh one on the Nova 3. From the 5V/2A output, it looks like it will not be featuring fast charging technology. Other specifications aren’t mentioned in the image, but we’re guessing them to be on the same lines as the Nova 3.

Besides that, the image also confirms both phones to be equipped with Huawei’s GPU Turbo technology. It is a graphics processing acceleration technology that the company claims can boost graphics performance by 60 percent while reducing the energy consumption by 30 percent. It is said to improve the overall gaming experience on the smartphones.

There is no word on pricing and availability of the Nova 3i yet. The phone could be launching alongside the Nova 3, which is expected to launch in China on July 17. Following that, the phone can also be expected to make an appearance in the Indian market. You can count on us to update the space the moment we have more information.
