After Huawei officially unveiled its Nova 3 smartphone powered by its flagship Kirin 970 processor, the Chinese company’s next smartphone called the Nova 3i was leaked online. The new Nova 3i looks exactly similar to the Nova 3 which as a matter of fact has become the first smartphone to be launched with quad-cameras and a notch up on the front.
This seems to have started a trend with Huawei as the company had launched a Nova 3e in the Chinese market following the launch of it Huawei P20 Lite smartphone internationally. But moving on to the Nova 3i, this new smartphone looks identical to the Nova 3 with its glass and metal sandwich design, the notch and the quad-cameras.
But the subtle difference is that the Nova 3i unlike the Nova 3, comes with 2.5D glass on the front and back of the phone. The new 3i is set to be powered by a new Kirin 710 octa-core processor that has been built using a 12nm FinFET process. The smartphone is also expected to sport a 6.3-inch Full HD+ display that will have 2340 x 1080 pixels resolution and a notched display with 19:9 aspect ratio.
The all new Kirin 710 SoC is set to perform 2x better in terms of CPU performance and 2.29x better in terms of GPU performance than its predecessor the Kirin 659. Apart from the processor the two phones Nova 3 and Nova 3i seem to have similar specs and that includes a 24 megapixel and 16 megapixel dual rear cameras and 24 megapixel and 2 megapixel dual front cameras.
According to the leak the Nova 3i will support a new GPU Turbo technology from Huawei that ought to boost gaming performance. The smartphone is rumored to come with options for RAM and storage in the form of 4GB or 6GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of internal storage.

According to Phone Radar the new Nova 3i is set to run Android 8.1 Oreo-based EMUI 8.1 out of the box. There is no word on the pricing of the device but the battery of the Nova 3i seems to be slightly smaller than the Nova 3 at 3,340mAh.
