Huawei is hosting a launch event in Paris on March 27, where it is widely expected to take the wraps off the P20 smartphone. The company is also likely to launch one more affordable variant, called P20 Lite, at the same event. Alleged live images of the smartphone, along with an expected list of specifications and features have now surfaced online.
As you can see in the above photos (spotted by GizmoChina), the Huawei P20 Lite is expected to come with a design that is highly inspired by the Apple iPhone X. At the back is a vertically-aligned dual-camera setup, while up front the smartphone comes with a full-screen display and a notch. The notch is however noticeably smaller than the one on the iPhone X.
The Huawei P20 Lite is expected to feature a metal and glass sandwich body with dimensions of 148x71x7.2 mm. In addition to the pale pink color seen above, the smartphone is also expected to come in black.
Huawei P20 Lite specifications, features
Ahead of the launch next month, the smartphone has passed FCC. Based on the leaks we have come across so far, the smartphone is expected to flaunt a 5.8-inch full HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio. This is however in contrast to the specifications spotted on FCC – 6.1-inch display with 19:9 aspect ratio.
The rest of the rumored specifications include Kirin 970 SoC or an updated version of Kirin 659 SoC, 2,900mAh battery, fingerprint sensor, and connectivity options like USB Type-C port, and 3.5mm audio jack. On the software front, the smartphone is expected to run Android Oreo underneath EMUI 8.0.
As mentioned, the highlight of the March 27 event will be the Huawei P20 and P20 Plus. Both these smartphones are rumored to be the world’s first to adopt triple camera system, and boast 5x hybrid zoom capabilities. The camera setup will be able to capture up to 40-megapixel photos. For selfies and video calling, there is expected to be a 24-megapixel camera with low-light enhancement feature.
