Huawei’s new P20 family has lately been subjected to some insane amount of leaks. Some time ago, the company did confirm that it would be launching the Huawei P20 and Huawei P20 Pro in Paris on March 27, however, it has made no mention of the P20 Lite. But, considering the number of leaks that we have across about the smartphone, we are expecting the P20 Lite to be part of the “one more thing” moment.
After color variant, specifications, and even a rumored pricing of the smartphone has been touched by the speculators, this time we now come across the likely design of the smartphone. And boy, does it look like the iPhone X!
Coming from the leaked images, the alleged P20 Lite sports a large display, what looks like it sports an 18:9 aspect ratio. And on the top of it sits a little notch in the middle. Now to offer a little perspective, it’s smaller than iPhone X’s notch, but slightly bigger than the Essential Phones.
And this notch takes us back to Huawei revealing sometime ago that it has developed technology similar to Face ID. Presumingly the P20 Lite would be a liter version of the P20 and P20 Pro, a fraction of this tech can be expected to trickle down to the Lite version as well, which may introduce a 2D face recognition, similar to what Samsung or OnePlus are offering on their phones now.
Other than the design, from what we know so far, the Huawei P20 Lite will be the cheapest of the lot and will be priced at €369 (Rs 30,000 approximately). The smartphone is expected to feature a 5.6-inch full HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio, and will be powered by a Kirin 659 processor. The rest of the rumored features include 4GB of RAM, 64GB internal storage, microSD card slot, and a 3,520mAh battery.
