iBall Edu-Slide launched for Rs 12,999, features e-Teach software for students, a 10.1-inch display and runs on Android Jelly Bean

iBall today launched the latest tablet in its Slide range called the iBall Edu-Slide. This 10-1.inch tablet is specifically targeted towards students and is available for Rs 12,999.

In terms of specifications, the Edu-Slide sports a 10.1-inch HD IPS (1280×800 pixels) display and is powered by a 1.5GHz Dual-core Cortex A9 processor, G400 Mali GPU and 1GB RAM. The tablet also includes features like a 2-megapixel rear camera, VGA front camera and 8GB internal storage which can be expanded using a microSD card. On the software front the tablet runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

Unlike other tablets in the market, the Edu-Slide comes pre-loaded with education software called e-Teach, prepared by a group of IITians. e-Teach contains education content and question banks for students based on the curriculum provided by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT).

As an introductory offer, the tablet is being offered with an additional standard content for free for those buying before April 15.
