Following the footsteps of Airtel and Reliance Jio, Idea Cellular has now also launched a Rs 93 plan for its prepaid users. Similar to Jio and Airtel, this Idea plan too focuses on consumers who make more calls than the data they consume, thus offering unlimited calls, 1GB of data, and a validity of ten days.
As listed on the Idea Cellular website, the Rs 93 prepaid pack will offer ‘unlimited’ local and STD calls, along with 1GB of 3G data for the 10-day period. There are no bundled SMSes, and the bundled calls are limited to 250 minutes per day, and 1,000 minutes per week. Beyond this, customers are charged at 1 paisa per second for calls.
However, before you actually hit the plan, do note that the Idea website underlines that the Rs 93 recharge plan does not exist for several numbers. Which means this plan could be segmented, and may not be available for certain users. Therefore it is advised you check the availability of the plan for your number before you pay for it.
The Idea cellular plan competes with Airtel’s Rs 93 offer launched last week, which offers mostly the same benefits, except for the bundled 100 SMS’ per day. The validity of the plan is also 10 days. Whereas the plan launched by Reliance Jio, that is priced at Rs 98 instead, has a validity of 14 days, offers free calls on roaming, 140 SMS, and 150MB per day data, which is 2.1GB data through the validity of the pack.
