Idea !d 4000 Android smartphone launched, priced at Rs 4,999


Idea has launched a new Android smartphone in its !d series called !d 4000. The affordable smartphone is priced at Rs 4,999 and will be available in Idea’s 3G circles that include Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Kerala, Maharashtra, Goa, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh.

Speaking of specifications, the !d 4000 sports a 4-inch HVGA (480×320 pixels) and is powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor paired with 512MB of RAM. Also featured is a 3.2-megapixel rear camera, expandable internal storage, 1,500mAh battery and connectivity options like dual-SIM card slots and 3G support. On the software front, it runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. As an introductory offer, Idea is also offering 1.6GB of free 3G data for three months.

At this price point, the !d 4000 will be up against the likes of Spice Smart Flo Poise Mi-451.
