Despite being uncertain about the future of its 3G network in several areas, Idea Cellular has launched yet another 3G smartphone named Aurus 2. The smartphone is the next version of the Aurus launched in the later half of last year. This dual-SIM smartphone is Idea’s first to feature Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system. Starting from today, the phone is available for Rs 6,490 across nation.
The smartphone features a 3.5-inch capacitive touchscreen with 320×480 pixels resolution, as seen in the other model. Despite being a bit cheaper in price than the predecessor, the smartphone carries better specs when it comes to processor and the software. It runs the Jelly Bean version of Android and carries a 1GHz processor with 512MB RAM along with an internal memory of 4GB ROM. On camera front, the smartphone sports a 3.2 megapixel camera with digital zoom along with a front facing VGA camera which supports video calling.
The phone comes bundled with a 3G data pack valued for Rs 261 with 1.6GB of 3G data and Idea TV subscription free for the first three months.
