A couple of weeks ago we reported some images that were claimed to be for the next generation iPhone 5, which eventually turned out be very high quality renders. However, the general consensus was that the image was a close representation of what the iPhone 5 would look like.  Now, the guys at GottabeMobile have supposedly obtained images of the iPhone 5 engineering sample that has been anonymously sourced from China.
Even the engineering sample seems similar to the render we saw a few weeks back and the boys at GottabeMobile say that the engineering sample is 120 millimeters tall while the current iPhone 4S is 115.2 millimeters tall. This fact also toes the line of the rumor mill, which suggests a taller iPhone 5 with a 3.95-inch display. Additionally, the iPhone 5 is expected to run a quad-core processor and it will definitely run on iOS 6 which was earlier shown off at Apple’s WWDC conference.
