Micromax has been riding high on the success of Canvas HD A116 and is now encashing the popularity of the Canvas series by introducing 3D photo capture technology in it. If the images posted on Twitter by MMXNewscaster are to be considered, Micromax is almost ready with the all new Canvas 3D A115 model featuring a similar look but with twist of a 3D interface.
This new model in the Canvas series is speculated to feature a 5-inch WVGA display offering a 800 × 480 pixels and will be based on dual-core MediaTek MT6577 Cortex A9 processor which was also seen in the Canvas 2 A110, although the Canvas HD boasted a quad-core processor. This apart, the 3D version is also speculated to feature an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, a 2-megapixel front-facing camera and get the taste of Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean.
While the Canvas 3D doesn’t have stereoscopic cameras that are required to shoot in 3D, it seems to have some 3D rendering software that would render photographs with 3D effects. We are not quite convinced its utility but Micromax has its ways of making the most unusual features popular with its user base.
