Instagram is on a roll. Days after launching the new GIF stickers and the Activity Status features, Instagram is now reportedly testing a new feature, which is something many of us have been using third party apps for. Called ‘Profile Visits’, the feature will tell you how many times people have visited your profile in the past week.

First reported by Matt Navarra, the screenshot shared by him shows the total profile visits in the last seven days, right on the top of the page. Although, while it shows you how many times your profile has been viewed, it doesn’t tell you who those visitors are. The feature is currently in testing and is only being seen by some users.

BGR India has reached out to Instagram to confirm the feature being under-works.

Instagram has lately been working a lot of new features, and that certainly is a big plus for the app, since it keeps things interesting for the users. In just last couple of weeks, Instagram rolled out two news features – GIF stickers and Activity Status – as we mentioned.

Solving a lot of headache, Instagram has also promised that in the coming weeks, it will be rolling out the ability to upload photos and videos of any size to your story. After the feature is out, you will be able to upload a photo or video, pinch to share it in its original dimensions, whether it’s square, portrait or landscape. Any extra room will be filled with a custom color gradient that matches what you’ve shared.

Simultaneously, the platform is also believed to be testing a text-only form in Stories, where you can place your words against colorful gradient backgrounds. The option also gives you a chance to play around with images with the color gradients still layered on top.

Besides that, from what we know, Instagram is also working on screenshot alerts. Which means, every time someone takes a screenshot of your Instagram Story you will be notified. Although, apparently Instagram will be easy around the first time and let go off you with a warning, but the second time and later an alert will be sent out to the owner of the Story.
