Intex has launched the Aqua Curve smartphone which as per the company’s claims has a 5-inch One Glass Solution based curved display. The company also claims to be the first domestic player to launch a phone with a curved display in India.
The USP of the Aqua Curve smartphone is clearly its 5-inch qHD OGS-based curved display with 960×540 pixels resolution, but that is not all. It is powered by 1.3GHz quad-core processor with 1GB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage, which can be expanded using a microSD card. The phone sports an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera.
Connectivity options in the phone include dual-SIM with support for GSM+WCDMA, support for 3G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and GPRS. It comes with a 2,000mAh battery which as per the company’s claims offers up to 4.5 hours of talk-time and 180 hours of standby time. Other features in the phone include gravity, proximity, light and accelerometer sensors.
It runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and comes with a number of gesture controls based features for music, FM radio, gallery, and some standard proximity sensor based features.
With all these features, the Aqua Curve smartphone is targeted at the youth and has been launched in three vibrant colors – red, blue and black. It is aggressively priced for Rs 12,490 and will mainly be up against the likes of Xolo Q1000 which comes with a 5-inch IPS display and offers similar features at Rs 13,990.
