Intex Aqua I-5 launched for Rs 11,690, features Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and a quad-core processor
After a few months of launch of Aqua Wonder, Intex today has launched the Aqua I-5 smartphone to cater to the budget conscious smartphone user segment in India. It is an Android smartphone with a quad-core processor and is priced for Rs 11,690.
In terms of specifications, the Aqua I-5 smartphone has a 5-inch qHD IPS screen. It runs on the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Cortex A7 processor with SGX 5T GPU and comes with 1GB of RAM. It has a 12-megapixel rear camera with BSI Sensor, auto-focus and flash and a 2-megapixel front camera capable of video calling. There is 4GB of internal memory which can be expanded up to 32GB using a microSD.
Other features of the phone include support for dual-SIM, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and FM radio. The Aqua I-5 also houses a 2,000mAh battery which offers a talk time of up to 5 hours and about 7 days of standby time and is equipped with Light sensor, Motion sensor, Proximity sensor and G-sensor.
The smartphone market is flooded with options in this price segments. However the Intex Aqua I-5 will mainly be competing against the likes of Xolo Q1000, Micromax A 110Q Canvas 2, Karbonn Titanium S5 and others, but has an edge over others with a 12-megapixel camera.
The phone is available in white and black colors and comes with a free flap cover in the box.
