Intex Aqua i5 HD launched in India, priced at Rs 9,990


Intex today has launched the Aqua i5 HD smartphone, which is essentially the company’s successor to the previously launched Aqua i5 smartphone. The Aqua i5 HD, as the name suggests, comes with an HD display. It is priced at Rs 9,990 and is available in market starting from today itself.

In terms of specifications, the phone comes with a 5-inch HD 720p display. It is powered by a 1.3GHz MediaTek 6582 quad-core processor with 1GB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage. On the photography front, the phone sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with flash and a 5-megapixel front facing camera. The phone also has some additional photography features like voice command support for clicking photos and the ability to record videos at 720p. The front camera also supports video calling at 720p.

Connectivity options include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS/AGPS. Other specifications include of microSD card slot, gesture sensors and other sensors like light, proximity and gravity sensor. The company is also offering an additional 5GB of storage space on Intex cloud. The phone houses a 2,000mAh battery and features power saving mode to run the juices for longer.

It runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, coupled with the company’s own apps. The company promises to roll out the 4.4.2 KitKat update soon. The company has launched the phone in black color and will be introducing the white version in a few days time.
