Domestic smartphone maker Intex launched its first the Aqua Lions T1 Lite in India. The smartphone is one of the handful 4G VoLTE-enabled models featuring a compact display. Priced at Rs 4,449, the smartphone will be offered in Royal Black, Steel Grey, and Champagne color options.
In times when large-screen displays are dominating the market, the Intex Aqua Lions T1 Lite is equipped with a 5-inch 2.5D display. Some of the noteworthy features of the budget smartphone include Android 7.0 Nougat OS and Intex’s Value Added Services such as LFTY, DataBack and Prime Video out-of-the-box.

With the 5-inch display, the Intex Aqua Lions T1 Lite is equipped with a 64-bit MediaTek quad-core SoC clocked at 1.3GHz. The chipset comes paired with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. You can further expand the storage up to 64GB using a microSD card.
For optics, the budget smartphone is equipped with a 5-megapixel rear camera along with a 2-megapixel front camera with flash. The camera app comes with features including Beauty mode, Panorama, Burst mode and Frame. The smartphone is fueled by a 2,200mAh battery which is claimed to offer talktime of up to 6 hours and a standby time of 8-10 days.
Talking about the value-added services, the Intex LFTY is a one-stop hub for multi-category content including videos, news, wallpapers, and more. DataBack is a data saving app which allows you to save up to 500MB data every month, and subscription-based Prime Video is an app by Amazon which allows you access to online infotainment content including Bollywood movies and regional movies.
At the given price, the Intex Aqua Lions T1 Lite competes with Xiaomi Redmi 5A which is priced at Rs 5,999. It also flaunts a 5-inch display but one that offers HD resolution. It is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 quad-core 1.4GHz SoC paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable internal storage. The Redmi 5A is further equipped with a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. It is fueled by a higher 3,000mAh battery.
