Intex Technologies has launched a dual-SIM 3D phone called the Avatar in the Indian market. Priced at Rs 3,690, the phone not only allows you to view 3D content but it will also let you convert your normal 2D stuff (images or videos) into 3D. However, in order to view your 3D material, you will have to wear 3D glasses which will come bundled with it. It sports a 2.8-inch touchscreen display and comes with a 2.0MP camera with an LED flash. The Intex Avatar comes pre-loaded with popular games like Crazy Birds, Fruit Ninja, Pentachess, Call of Atlantis, Yumsters and other apps like Google, MSN, Yahoo and Facebook. It features Bluetooth, GPRS, EDGE, FM radio and inbuilt memory of 66.7MB which is extensible up to 16GB.

Spice Mobiles also have a 3D phone called the View-D in its portfolio which doesn’t even require glasses. Hence, it gets really disturbing and inexplicable as to why this particular model by Intex which is also priced in a similar category, needs glasses to be worn by users to view 3D content.
