In the build up to launching new iPads, CEO Tim Cook announced that Apple has sold over 170 million iPads. Cook claims that the iPad is used more than four times than other tablets.
Apple launched the first iPad in 2010 and introduced a new device category. Apple has 475,000 apps custom designed for iPads available on the App Store, out of 1 million apps available over all.
