iPad mini mass production to begin soon: WSJ
For the past weeks, the rumor mill has been working overtime about the imminent release of a iPad mini which will hit the market this fall. The Wall Street Journal has added more fuel to this rumor as it cites anonymous sources and reports that the iPad mini will soon hit mass production in preparation for a September launch.
While many have reported on the mini moniker, the device will reportedly sport a 7.96-inch display which is much larger than the Amazon Kindle Fire and the Asus Nexus 7 tablets. According to the Journal, LG and AU Optronics are both working on the display for the device and the device is expected to be priced competitively in comparison with the Kindle Fire and the Nexus 7, though it might end being more expensive.
