The Indian Premier League has reached its 11th year, and as always, there is a lot of excitement and enthusiasm among cricket fans. Gone are the days when we used to sit in front of the idiot box to watch our favorite sport, or listen to live commentary on radio. Today, in the day and age of smartphones, internet and social media, a lot of us watch the cricket matches on the go, and yes, tweet about the good and bad moments too.
Twitter has released the emoji index for the second week of IPL 2018 tournament, and Chennai Super Kings’s #WhistlePodu has topped the charts. Chennai Super Kings have returned to IPL after two-year suspension, and have been an instant hit among millions of fans.
Royal Challengers Bangalore’s #PlayBold has taken the second position, whereas Kolkata Knight Riders’ new tagline #KKRHaiTaiyaar, which has replaced the earlier highly-acclaimed tagline #KorboLorboJeetboRe, has taken the third spot.
