JBL J-series headphones launched in India starting at Rs 4,490

JBL has launched the J-series of headphones in India that start at Rs 4,490 without the microphone and Rs 5,490 with the microphone.  JBL claims that these headphone come equipped with high performance drivers that can reproduce impressive audio quality with deep bass response that is powerful yet accurate.

It flaunts a closed back design with the headphone band rotating 180 degrees. It also includes a DJ pivot mechanism and has a single cable that can be easily detached. The cable has a locking mechanism and is pretty rugged so that it will not break easily. The cable is 1.3-meters long which is indeed quite a long and the 3.5-mm is gold plated which is always a good thing.

The model with the microphone has the Apple three button control scheme that can be used with the iPhone, iPod and iPad. As far as the technicalities are concerned it has 1-5/8-inch drivers, with a frequency response ranging between 10Hz and 24Khz. It has an impedance value of 40 Ohms which means it will play well with portable devices and will not need a dedicated headphone amplifier to eek out the best sonic performance.

Even the ear cups are made up of stainless steel and JBL says that it will bundle a case with the J-Series headphones. The J-Series headphones will be available in Orange-White and Grey-White and Black color combinations.
