JBL launches ‘Lightning’ connector compatible docks in India

JBL has launched a number of new iPod docks in India and notably their entire new line up is now ‘Lightning connector’ compliant which means users of the iPhone 5, the new iPod touch, and the iPad mini can seamlessly dock with these audio products without the need of 30-pin to lightning connector adaptor. The new docks launched include – the OnBeat Micro, OnBeat Mini, OnBeat Venue LT, and the OnBeat Rumble.

JBL OnBeat Venue LT is a Bluetooth-equipped loudspeaker dock that will handle one’s core music and entertainment needs in a portable package and adds ‘Lighting connector’ compatibility to boot.

JBL OnBeat Micro is a compact, portable speaker dock, which according to the company delivers space-filling sound and lets you enjoy your music without wires or adapters.

JBL OnBeat Rumble is a powerful little sonic merchant. It has Bluetooth for wireless audio and features a built-in subwoofer, which should theoretically deliver a solid low-end thump.

JBL OnBeat Mini is a small, portable loudspeaker for the iPad mini/iPhone 5. It also features a USB port for enhanced compatibility with other devices. With a built-in DSP JBL claims, the dock delivers dynamic, room-filling sound.

All these docks will be available between February and April and no pricing has been announced. They will be available via JBL stores, Apple resellers, Reliance digital outlets and Croma outlets.
