Until now, the Titanium S99 was the cheapest Android KitKat smartphone in Karbonn’s portfolio. Today however, the Indian smartphone vendor has launched two new Android KitKat smartphones called the Smart A12* and the Smart A11*, which are priced at Rs 4,099 and Rs 4,449 respectively.
As far as specifications are concerned, the Smart A11* and the Smart A12* nearly identical differentiated only by the display size — the former features a 4.3-inch display, while the latter features a 4-inch display.
The two smartphones are powered by 1.2GHz dual-core processor paired with 512MB of RAM, and include 4GB of internal storage that can be expanded using a microSD card. The smartphones also feature a 5-megapixel rear camera, VGA front-facing camera, 1,400mAh battery and connectivity options like dual-SIM card slots and 3G support.
Karbonn has also expanded its affordable range of smartphones with the Smart A52+. The smartphone is priced at Rs 3,099 and features 3.5-inch display, 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 512MB of RAM and 4GB internal storage. Also included are 2-megapixel rear camera, VGA front-facing camera, 1,300mAh battery, and connectivity options like dual-SIM card slots and 2G support. On the software front, the device runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.
Last month, Karbonn had launched the Smart A50S, which is currently the cheapest Android smartphone you can buy in India. It features a 3.2-inch HVGA (480×320 pixels) display, 1.2GHz MediaTek dual-core processor, 256MB of RAM, 2GB internal storage that can be further expanded up to 32GB using a microSD card. Also included are 2-megapixel rear camera, VGA front-facing camera, 1,100mAh battery, and connectivity options like dual-SIM card slots, 2G support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0. On the software front, it runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.
