Karbonn has released the Smart A12 Android smartphone, which had earlier been spotted on various ecommerce portals though the company had not made any official announcement on the same. The phone comes equipped with Broadcom’s processor, supports 3G and carries a number of other features, and is available for Rs 7,990.
The Smart A12 features a 4.5-inch, 854×480 pixels display, a Broadcom BCM21654G chipset that features a 1GHz ARM Cortex A9 processor and 512MB RAM. It runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, sports a 5-megapixel camera and a front facing camera and comes with a microSD card slot and a 1,800mAh battery which runs up to 4 hours. On the connectivity front, the phone offers support for 3G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS. The dual-SIM phone offers dual-standby and is available in black and white colors.
With a 4.5-inch display, 5-megapixel camera and a price of Rs 7,990, the Smart A12 competes with recently launched Lava Iris 455 and Micromax Ninja A91 that offer similar features in this price segment.
