After Titanium X and Titanium S7, Karbonn has now added the Titanium S5+ in its smartphone portfolio. First reported by FoneArena, the smartphone is retailing for Rs 10,636 online and is expected to get official sooner than later. This is basically the successor of the previously launched Titanium S5 smartphone.
Talking of the specifications, just like its predecessor, the Karbonn Titanium S5+ too is dual-SIM phone with a 5-inch IPS display offering 540×960 pixels of resolution. The software in the smartphone has been upgraded to Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, than the 4.1 Jelly Bean version running on the previous model. Also, the Titanium S5 smartphone housed Qualcomm’s Snapdragon quad-core chipset clocked at 1.2GHz, however this new variant is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor from an unnamed chipmaker. The processor will be coupled with 1GB of RAM, and 4GB of internal storage.
The rear of the phone adorns an 8-megapixel autofocus camera with LED flash and the front comes with a VGA camera. Other features in the phone include microSD card slot, connectivity through Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ AGPS, and 3G and a 1,800mAh battery.
Karbonn Titanium S5+ will mainly compete against the likes of Micromax Canvas Juice and Zen Ultrafone 701, among others.
