Karbonn is close to launching a new variant of the Titanium S9 launched last year. Called the Titanium S9 Lite, the smartphone is priced at Rs 8,990 and is available on Indian e-commerce sites. It was first spotted by FoneArena.
As far as specifications are concerned, the Titanium S9 Lite sports a 5.5-inch qHD display and is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor paired with 512MB of RAM. Also included, is 4GB internal storage that can be expanded up to 32GB using a microSD card.
The smartphone features an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, 2-megapixel front-facing camera, a 2,100mAh battery, and connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, 3G support, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. On the software front, it runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
In comparison, last year’s Titanium S9 featured a 5.5-inch 720p display, 1.2GHz MediaTek quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 13-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel front-facing camera, and 16GB expandable memory. The smartphone was launched for Rs 19,990, but is now available on e-commerce sites for as low as Rs 12,300.
Yesterday, Karbonn launched the cheapest Android smartphone in India called A50s, which can be picked up for as low as Rs 2,790.
