Lava Etab Xtron with Android 4.1, a 7-inch screen and 1.5Ghz dual-core processor launched for Rs 6,770

Following the recent launch of the Acer Iconia B1 and the Asus Memo Pad 7, mobile and tablet-maker Lava has also entered the 7-inch tablet market with its first Android 4.1 tablet— the Etab Xtron. The tablet is priced is available in the market for Rs 6,770.

The Etab Xtron sports a 7-inch capacitive multi-touch IPS display which supports a resolution of 1024×600 pixels and is powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core Cortex A9 processor, quad-core GPU and 1GB DDR3 RAM. Other features included are 2-megapixel HD front camera, 8GB internal storage, microSD support for up to 32GB, 3.5mm audio jack, micro-USB port and a 3500mAH battery. The tablet also supports 3G via an USB-dongle.

Lava has also tied up with several companies to offers quite a selection of freebies with the tablet.
