Lava Iris 406Q launched for Rs 7,499: Features, specifications and comparison

After the Iris 550Q, Iris Pro 20, QPad e704 voice calling tablet and Iris 450 Colour, Lava has today launched yet another device called the Iris 406Q. It is priced at Rs 7,499 and will initially only be available on Flipkart, before hitting retail stores across the country in May.

Talking of specifications, the Iris 406Q flaunts a 4-inch WVGA (800×480 pixels) display and is powered by a 1.2GHz Snapdragon quad-core processor paired with 1GB of RAM. Also included, is 4GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 32GB using a microSD card.

The smartphone also features a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, VGA camera at the front, 1,700mAh battery and connectivity options like dual-SIM card slot, 3G support, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. On the software front, it runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.

At this price point, the Iris 406Q will be up against the likes of the Xolo Q500 which too boasts similar specifications. The only differences include an older version of Android Jelly Bean and a smaller battery (1,450mAh) on the Q500.
