Lava Z50, the first smartphone based on the new Android Oreo (Go edition), is now available at an effective price of Rs 2,400. Lava says the smartphone is now available at over 1,00,000 retail stores in addition to e-commerce platforms like Flipkart, Amazon and Snapdeal.

Lava Z50 was launched on the sidelines of Mobile World Congress last month and it was expected to be priced at Rs 5,000. However, it now comes bundled with a cashback offer of Rs 2,000 as part of ‘Mera Pehla Smartphone’ program from Airtel. Lava says the Z50 has an online market operating price (MOP) of Rs 4,400 and with Airtel cashback offer worth Rs 2,000, the effective price comes down to Rs 2,400.

“We are delighted to announce the availability of Z50 for our customers, making it India’s first Android Oreo (Go edition) Smartphone to be available in the market. With the cashback offer from Airtel, LAVA Z50 is effectively available for Rs 2,400, making it a great option for smartphone buyers, looking for best technology at the most competitive price,” said Gaurav Nigam, Head – Product, Lava International.
