The smartphone also comes with modern design, face unlock support and can be bundled with Bharti Airtel subscription offering Rs 2,000 cashback on the purchase of the smartphone.
Lava Z91 Specifications and Price
The Lava Z91 features a 5.7-inch HD+ display with a resolution of 1440 x 720 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18:9. The display comes with a layer of 2.5D curved glass on top for a more ergonomic feel. Powering the device is MediaTek MTK 6739 SoC coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. There is also support for expandable storage up to 128GB via microSD card slot. In terms of design, the smartphone sports a standard with full view display up front, metal casing and glass finish on the back. Lava is trying to make the Z91 look premium for its price.
Lava Z91, like most other smartphones launching right now, is not jumping onto the dual rear camera bandwagon just yet. The Lava Z91 features a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and dedicated LED flash and an 8-megapixel front-side camera for selfies and video calling. The front camera also serves another purpose – facial recognition. The Lava Z91 is one of the cheapest smartphone with face unlock mechanism that is less secure than traditional methods but is there in case you plan to unlock the device by simply looking at it.
Lava Z91 runs Android 7.0 Nougat and is backed by a 3,000mAh battery under the hood. It sports a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, which can also be programmed to use as a shortcut key to open apps linked to different fingerprint of the user. The smartphone supports connectivity features like WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, FM Radio, dual SIM, 4G LTE with VoLTE and microUSB port. Lava Z91 is priced at Rs 9,999 and will be available only in blue color.
