Announced officially in June, Leica is all set to launch its new compact zoom camera called the Leica C-Lux in India, by the end of August. One of the key highlights of the camera is that it features 15x optical zoom and stylish design that comes with two color variants of Midnight Blue and Light Gold. The Leica C-Lux will be priced in India at Rs 85,000 and will most likely be available through Amazon, like some of the company’s other high-end cameras.
Underneath its stylus chassis, the camera comes with a 1-inch CMOS image sensor that features a resolution of 20-megapixel. The camera supports ISO sensitivity up to 25,600 and can shoot 4K video at 30 FPS. Shutter speed range can go up to a whopping 1/16000 seconds with a high burst mode of 10 FPS.
The camera features a Leica DC Vario-Elmar 8.8-132 mm f/3.3-64 ASPH lens. Its 15x zoom comes with a focal length range of 24 to 360 mm. Quick autofocus is also supported with the help of 49 metering points placed across the frame.
At the back, the camera comes with a 3-inch TFT LCD touchscreen with a resolution of 1,240,000 dots, and an aspect ratio of 3:2. Additionally, the camera also comes with an electronic viewfinder, which has a 2,330,000 dot-resolution. It also covers 100 percent image field, which means it allows you to see everything in the frame.

Besides that, the Leica C-Lux also supports wireless connectivity through Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.2. This means users can easily transfer pictures and videos from the camera on to their smartphones without going through the hassle of cables.
