Chinese smartphone maker Lenovo unveiled a new budget Android smartphone in the Indian market called the Lenovo A536. The Android KitKat smartphone is priced at Rs 8,999 and goes on sale today.
The phone features a 5-inch FWVGA (854×480 pixels) display and is powered by 1.3GHz MediaTek quad-core processor paired with 1GB RAM. It has 8GB storage on-board that can be expandable using a microSD card.
Lenovo A536 comes with a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. The device runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat and packs a 2,000mAh battery. The dual-SIM device supports 3G and has all the regular connectivity options. The smartphone will be pre-loaded with Lenovo’s Doit apps suite.
Looking at the price and specs, the smartphone is set to face some tough competition in the market, from the likes of the Lava Iris X5 and the Karbonn Titanium S19 that offer better specs at roughly the same price.
