Back at MWC earlier this year, Lenovo unveiled a host of mid-range smartphones including the S850. Today the company has launched the smartphone in India priced at Rs 15,499. It will be available across the country by the end of this month, but you can pre-order the device on Lenovo India’s website.

As far as specifications are concerned, the Lenovo S850 flaunts a 5-inch HD 720p display with a pixel density of 294ppi, and is powered by a 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6582 quad-core processor paired with 1GB of RAM. Also included is 16GB of internal storage, but there is no microSD card slot to expand it.

The smartphone also features a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, 5-megapixel front-facing camera, and a 2,000mAh battery that the company claims is good enough for 13 hours of talktime and up to 336 hours on standby mode.

Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, 3G support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and on the software front, it runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.

At this price point, the Lenovo S850 will be up against the likes of the Micromax Canvas 4 A210, which too features similar specifications.
