LG announces WCD-800 wireless charger at MWC

LG has unveiled its latest wireless charger, the WCD-800, at MWC in Barcelona. This cradle-shaped charger allows the phone to be positioned vertically so that users can make video calls, view movies or images or even send texts. In order to charge smartphones, users will simply have to place their phones on the 75.8mm wide cradle which is actually double the size of LG’s previous wireless charger, the WCP-700. This new device by LG will be introduced first in Korea followed by North America in the first half of this year. No word on the pricing.
