LG G Pro 2 coming soon in India, to be launched for Rs 49,900

After announcing the G Pro 2 in February, LG is finally prepping up for the launch of G Pro 2 in India. Mumbai-based retailer @MaheshTelecom has tweeted that the LG G Pro 2, codenamed as D838, will be stocked up for sales by tonight, and will be carry a price tag of Rs 49,900. Though LG has not confirmed the price of the phone, the company has told BGR India that the phone is in the pipeline and would get launched soon.

To give you a quick recap of the specifications, the G Pro 2 is LG’s take on phablets from its competitors. It flaunts a massive 5.9-inch Full-HD 1080p display, which is bigger than its predecessor’s 5.5-inch 1080p display. It runs on a 2.26GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor with Adreno 330GPU coupled with 3GB of RAM and 16/32GB of internal storage, while the G Pro ran on a 1.7GHz Snapdragon 600 quad-core SoC with 2GB of RAM.

The G Pro 2 sports a 13-megapixel rear camera capable of shooting 4K video at up to 120fps and Optical Image Stabilizer Pro for blur-free videos, and a 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera for clicking selfies.
Connectivity options include 3G support, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, and NFC. Other features in the device include microSD card support and a 3,200mAh battery. Design-wise, it also sports the rear buttons, which was first introduced with the G2.
On the software front, it runs on Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box with add-ons like Knock On, Content Lock and Knock Code for easy unlocking of the phone.
