Days before the official launch of the LG G7 ThinQ, official renders of the smartphone have been spotted online. Based on those, the smartphone could arrive in five color choices of Aurora Black, Platinum Grey, Moroccan Blue, Moroccan Blue Matte and Raspberry Rose.
Earlier this week, LG officially announced the launch date of its next flagship smartphone. One of the key confirmations with the announcements is that the smartphone will be called LG G7 ThinQ. It will come with AI capabilities and add to the company’s ThinQ ecosystem of connected devices. It is the first time the ThinQ brand has been applied to the G-series of smartphones, after the LG V30s ThinQ. LG will be hosting the G7 ThinQ launch event on May 2 in New York, and on May 3 in Seoul.
Some of the features teased for the LG G7 ThinQ include Voice AI and Vision AI which adds to the overall user experience. With enhanced AI modes, the camera on the G7 ThinQ is said to be one of its highlights. It is also likely to pack additional voice commands for Google Assistant and pre-installed apps.
Based on rumors, the LG G7 ThinQ is said to feature iPhone X-like notch on the top. It is further rumored to pack a dual-camera setup at the back and a dedicated fingerprint sensor. It will be an improvement over the predecessor in terms of performance. For the AI features, a dedicated trigger button is expected to be present.

In terms of specifications, the smartphone could come equipped with the notch-based 6.01-inch Quad HD+ OLED display. It is speculated that there will be a cheaper variant with LCD display. Under the hood, Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC with 6GB of RAM.

For optics, it is expected to pack a pair of 16-megapixel cameras at the back. Up front, there will be an 8-megapixel sensor. Fueling the smartphone is expected to be a 3,300mAh battery with support for wireless charging and high-fidelity DAC.
