LG Optimus G Pro Android smartphone with 5-inch 1080p display announced
LG’s new flagship device, Optimus G Pro has been launched today in Japan. The smartphone has a 1.7GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core chip, a 3,000 mAh battery and Jelly Bean out of the box, 2GB of RAM, 13-megapixel camera, 32GB built-in storage, a micro SDXC slot and LTE. As with most flagship phones this year, it also sports a 5-inch 1080p display.
The phone will be available for Japanese buyers to purchase in April while launches in other countries remain to be announced. The Optimus G Pro was earlier expected to be announced at next month’s Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next month. Probably, LG would announce a global variant of the smartphone at the show.
LG today also announced that the Optimus G will be sold in over 50 countries and the roll out will will take place over the next few months.
