LG has launched the Optimus G Pro in India for Rs 42,500. The Optimus G Pro is LG’s latest and greatest phablet that locks its crosshairs on the Samsung Galaxy Note II.
In terms of specs, we get a device that basically offers best in class hardware that can go toe-to-toe with the likes of the HTC One and the Samsung Galaxy S4. We get a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor clocked at 1.7GHz, 2GB of RAM and an 5.5-inch IPS display that has a 1080p resolution and converts to 400 pixels per inch.
On the back it even has a 13-megapixel camera and a 2.1-megapixel camera in the front. It also packs in a massive 3,140 mAh battery and has 32GB of internal storage and a microSD card slot that supports up to 64GB of storage. Even in terms of dimensions, the device is just 9.4mm thin which is commendable for a device of its class.
LG has packed in a lot of custom software features on the device which include a dual camera recording mode, an Samsung like multi-view windowed multitasking mode, a QTranslate app, and a 360 degree panorama mode. All this is packaged in an Android 4.1.2 shell on top which LG implements its Optimus UI, which we have found to be not very intrusive.
