LG Optimus G to launch in India soon: Report
The LG Optimus G which was launched in Korea back in August last year and only started entering global markets last month is reportedly coming to our shores as early as the end of this month, reports The Mobile Indian. There is currently no word on what price range the South Korean company will sell the phone in. Previously, in October we had heard that the device will come to India in January and February and perhaps this is actually coming to fruition.
The Optimus G runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and sports a 4.7-inch True HD IPS Plus (1280×768 pixels) display. It is powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor and 2GB RAM. The phone includes features like a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, 1.3-megapixel front camera with video chatting at 720p, connectivity options like Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, DLNA, NFC and USB 2.0 and a 2,100mAH battery.
The Optimus G also comes packed with features specific to the device like QSlide that allows you to use two apps together in split-screen mode, Live Zooming that allows you to zoom while watching a video and QMemo that allows you to write anything on a captured screen and then share it.
As the news of the Optimus G comes to light, LG has already unveiled the Optimus G Pro, which comes with a 1080p 5.5-inch display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor and a 13-megapixel camera, so the entry of the Optimus G will definitely be late in the Indian market as the device was originally launched back at IFA in August 2012.
