For sometime we have been reporting about the imminent arrival of the LG Optimus G2. A couple of days ago LG even teased the phone and invited the US media to an event on August 7 in New York. Now, Engadget has managed obtain photos of the Optimus G2, and 4leaks has posted a video of the smartphone.
Going by the images and the video, one can easily tell that design wise the Optimus G2 is the spiritual successor of the Nexus 4. LG has dumped the blocky design of the Optimus G and gone for rounded corners, a super slim bezel and a button less design as the phone uses on-screen software Android controls.
Interestingly, LG has opted to place the volume rocker on the back of the phone just below the camera which is rumored to be a 13-megapixel snapper.
The display too is apparently a 5.2-inch 1080p screen and internally the phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor clocked at 2.3GHz.
Reportedly, the phone is running on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean which means it has the latest version of Android, though it has been topped off with LG’s Optimus UI.
