While LG gears up to launch its flagship G7 smartphone, the company has quietly launched a new smartphone in South Korea. Called LG X4+, the smartphone is an upgraded version of last year’s LG X400. The smartphone is priced at $280 (Rs 17,000 approximately).

The LG X4+ sports an aluminum back, and is available in two color variants – Moroccan Blue and Lavender Violet. The company claims that it has passed the 6-part MIL-STD 810G military standard of the US Department of Defense, which covers impact, vibration, high temperature, low temperature, humidity, and thermal shock. This, obviously, stands as the USP of the device. Apart from that, this is also the first LG smartphone to support LG Pay. “We will continue to provide customers with opportunities to experience differentiated design and performance of LG’s premium smartphones,” said Lee Sang-kyu, head of Korea Mobile Group.

On the camera front, there is a 13-megapixel rear camera sensor with a 77-degree wide-angle lens. There is also a 5-megapixel front sensor with 100-degree wide-angle lens.
