LG has made a new addition to its X series with a limited launch in South Korea. Called the LG X4, the smartphone comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, and a 5.3-inch HD display similar to the LG X4+. The device has been launched at KRW 297,000 (Rs 17,800 approximately), and is up for sale in South Korea. It is available in black and gold color options.
Another highlight of the phone is the integrated LG Pay feature. Essentially, LG’s native payment system will allow users to authenticate payments using the fingerprint sensor or entering their password. Shinhan Card, Lotte Card, and Hana Card are currently LG Pay partners in the company’s home country.
LG X4 specifications and features
In terms of specifications, the LG X4 runs Android 7.1.2 Nougat out-of-the-box. The smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 chipset, accompanied by 2GB of RAM and 16GB of inbuilt storage, which is expandable up to 2TB via a microSD card. Fueling the device is a 3,000mAh battery.
In terms of optics, the LG X4 sports an 8-megapixel rear camera sensor with LED flash. On the front is a 5-megapixel sensor. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, FM Radio, and micro-USB. Dimensions of the LG X4 are 148.6×75.1×8.6mm, and the weight is 164 grams.
