Line, which is famous for its stickers, has introduced a Vine-like short video sharing feature that is sure to set it apart from all the rest of the free messaging app available today. Version 3.9, available on iPhone, Android and PCs also brings in other new features.
This video sharing feature called Snap Movie essentially lets a user record 4-10 second videos with their choice of background music and share it with their friends on the app. The video will be posted on a person’s chat window and will play on loop. Line has also posted a short tutorial on how exactly to use this feature. For now, this feature has been introduced on iOS and will arrive on Android in the coming weeks.
In addition to the above, all the versions get a video call feature, wherein users can switch between video and voice anytime during the call. The update also increases the number of albums one can create to 100, with each album containing about 100 photos and photo and video sharing functions too have been seen an overall improvement.
