Copenhagen-based Lumigon has launched a new smartphone called the T3, which is also touted as the first smartphone to feature a night-vision camera. This essentially means the smartphone is capable of taking high-quality pictures in complete darkness, similar to the ones used in wildlife photography. Pricing of the smartphone starts from $740 (Rs 49,400 approximately), and is expected to go on sale in select markets this month.
Besides the night vision camera, the Lumigon T3 comes with sensors like altimeter, compass and temperature sensor. The smartphone also features a BackTouch display, which allows a user to scroll through websites or complete other actions by simply swiping at the back of the smartphone. The smartphone also features water and dust resistance, and comes with a fingerprint scanner.
Lumigon T3 specifications, features: The smartphone is built using military-grade 316 stainless steel. It has a 4.8-inch HD (720p) Super AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass 4 protection. For photography, the Lumigon T3 comes with 13-megapixel rear camera with PDAF, dual-tone flash and 4K video support. It also has a 4-megapixel night vision camera on the back with dual-infrared flash. On the front, the smartphone sports a 5-megapixel snapper with 2K video support.
Under the hood, the Lumigon T3 comes with a 2.2GHz MediaTek Helio x10 64-bit octa-core processor with 3GB of RAM, and 128GB of internal storage. It runs on Android Marshmallow 6.0 out-of-the-box, and includes connectivity options like dual-SIM, Bluetooth 4.1, micro-USB 2.0, Infrared, NFC and Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac. The smartphone also supports wireless charging.
