March 10 is celebrated as ‘Mario Day’. It is the unofficial day started by gamers to celebrate Nintendo’s famed “Mar10” character. Google is celebrating the day in its own special way. If you use Google Maps today, you will be able to see the iconic character driving a Kart.

To have Super Mario driving a Kart enroute your Google Maps destination, you will be required to first update the app to its latest Android or iOS version. Once you do that, simply put a destination and tap on the “?” block next to the navigation button. You will be shown a prompt for allowing Mario to navigate your world. Give it a go-ahead and see Mario drive through your maps and help you reach your destination.

Sadly, there are no other Mario Kart characters to choose from, but only Mario itself. As GSMArena reports, there’s a hidden Easter egg too. If you rapidly tap the “?” block 100 times, you will hear the 1-UP sound effect reminiscent of the Mario games.

Mario is Nintendo‘s most beloved character and is set to be turned into a movie. The company has confirmed that it is working on an animated Super Mario movie, which will be made in association with famed animation studio Illumination, renowned for titles including Despicable Me and Minions.

As for the Mario games, Nintendo confirmed its Mario Kart series of the racing video game will be extended to the mobile platform by next year. The company is working on the app called Mario Kart Tour, which will be released in the next fiscal year, ending March 2019.
