Meizu 15, the new smartphone marking the 15-year anniversary of the Chinese smartphone maker, will be officially announced on April 22. The new Meizu 15 lineup will be officially unveiled at the Wuzhen Internet International Conference Center in Wuzhen, China. The event is scheduled for at 7.30PM local time, which translates to 5:00PM in India.

At the event on April 22, Meizu is expected to launch three smartphones – the Meizu 15, the Meizu 15 Lite, and the Meizu 15 Plus. The Meizu 15 will be the first smartphone launch for the company in 2018, and it has already confirmed that the smartphone will be designed by founder Jack Wong. The invite for the event comes inscribed with the text – “Relive the Time, Reshape the Classic” as a subtle hint at design elements of the smartphone. Details already confirmed by the company include a modern design with full metal casing, dual rear camera system with ring LED flash, and a physical home button at the front.

The rumors so far suggest that the Meizu 15 Lite wil feature a 5.46-inch IPS LCD display with a full HD+ resolution of 2160×1080 pixels. It is expected to arrive in three storage variants – 3GB RAM model with 32GB storage, 4GB RAM model with 64GB storage, and a premium 6GB RAM model with 128GB storage. It will be powered by an octa-core SoC, but it is not clear whether the chipset will be Samsung-made Exynos or Qualcomm Snapdragon. The Meizu 15 Lite will feature a 12-megapixel camera at the back with phase detection autofocus, and pack a 3,000mAh battery.

Meizu 15, on the other hand, will feature an AMOLED display measuring 5.46-inch diagonally, and support the taller 18:9 aspect ratio. It will sport dual rear cameras at the back with a combination of 12-megapixel and 20-megapixel sensors along with phase detection autofocus and a quad-LED flash shaped like a ring.

The Meizu 15 Plus will be the flagship of the three devices, and it will feature a 5.95-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels. It will be powered by an octa-core chipset clocked at 2.5GHz, and will include a 3,430mAh battery. It will also feature the same dual camera setup seen on the regular Meizu 15 smartphone.
