This year marks 15 years of being in business for Meizu, and the Chinese company is working on a new smartphone to mark the occasion. The smartphone is expected to be called the Meizu 15 Plus. However, according to a new leak, there could also be a smaller variant of the smartphone, called Meizu 15. The latest render shows off the design of what is said to be the upcoming Meizu 15.
First spotted by GSMarena, the render shows a curved display with a full-screen design. There is also a circular home button placed at the bottom, which might also act a fingerprint scanner. The Meizu 15 Plus is likely to feature a full-screen display with near-invisible bezels, similar to the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2. The rear side of the Meizu 15, looks very similar to the Plus variant with a dual-camera setup placed vertically in the center of the device. The camera will also be accompanied by a flash and laser focus module.
While the specifications of the Meizu 15 is not yet known, previous leaks suggest that the Meizu 15 Plus could be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC or Samsung’s Exynos 8895. Rumors also suggest that the smartphone will likely be differentiated on the basis of RAM. We can expect a 6GB and 8GB of RAM variants. The expensive variant will cost RMB 3,499 (Rs 34,000 approximately), while the less expensive variant is said to cost RMB 2,999 (Rs 29,000 approximately).
Both, the Meizu 15 and the Meizu 15 Plus are expected to be unveiled in February.
